2016/17 Natural Disaster Resilience Program — Butler bay Foreshore Rock Revetment Wall · 2017-18 · QLD
Construction of 320m of rock revetment wall to protect vital infrastructure including the Aerodrome, Road Network and Housing at Butler Bay, located at the Southern end of Palm Island. The Aerodrome is located adjacent the road reserve which is adjacent the foreshore. The foreshore continues to erode exposing the Southern end of the Aerodrome to the potential effects of natural disasters.
