Richard Cassady is the Mingga Mingga Ranger Coordinator, leading the Indigenous ranger program managing Palm Island group within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. He manages seagrass and coral monitoring, traditional burning fire regimes, invasive species control, and cultural heritage site protection across 16 islands. Richard partners with the Australian Institute of Marine Science on co-designed research.
